1. Sichuan University actively carried out research work against Covid-19

        On January 22, 2020, a symposium on Coronavirus IVD response was held led by Institute of Regulatory Science for Medical Device of Sichuan University. The meeting discussed ideas on how to use regulatory science to come up with new methods, tools and standards to speed up approvals and strengthen post-market regulation in light of the current outbreak development.

2. Institute of Regulatory Science for Medical Device of Sichuan University continues to carry out related projects to ensure the output of high-quality research results

        Institute of Regulatory Science for Medical Device of Sichuan University will continue to carry out research and promotion work on many projects, including the scientific action plan for drug regulation key projects of National Medical Products Administration, safety and effectiveness evaluation research on tissue inducible biomaterials, digital security and effectiveness evaluation of medical apparatus, research artificial intelligence medical device collaboration platform talent training, construction of a national life-cycle supervision and service platform for medical devices, etc. The institute also wrote a consulting report on "The development strategy and path of medical device regulation science ". The Institute seeks to be officially recognized as the APEC Centre of Excellence, conducted training on "Clinical Evaluation" and "UDI" respectively. Training on "Clinical Evaluation" and "UDI" respectively, and two sessions of regulatory training on clinical trials of medical devices for all medical institutions were carried out. Cooperation with Northeastern University and Stanford University in regulatory science research was conducted.
