1. Sichuan University has carried out regulatory scientific research on digital security of artificial intelligence medical devices

Institute of Regulatory Science for Medical Device of Sichuan University has sorted out the main sources and generation mechanisms of digital security risks of artificial intelligence medical devices, and cooperated with China Electronics Standardization Institute of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China Mobile, Tencent, Huawei and other organizations on the risk assessment of digital security risks of medical devices. The key research and development project of Provincial Science and Technology Department, "Safety and Effectiveness Evaluation of Tissue Induced Biomaterials", has successfully entered the stage of short-term in vivo experiments on bioceramic powders, degradation products and ceramics.

2. Sichuan University held the "Seminar on Guiding Principles of Human Collagen and High Strength and Toughness Pure Titanium as New Materials for Medical Devices" and the cooperation forum between the Bureau and the School

Institute of Regulatory Science for Medical Device of Sichuan University hosted "Seminar on Guiding Principles of Human Collagen and High Strength and Toughness Pure Titanium as New Materials for Medical Devices". The experts from the Center for Medical Device Evaluation, NMPA, Sichuan Medical Products Administration, Shanxi Sichuan Medical Products Administration, Shandong Quality Inspection Center for Medical Devices, South China University of Technology, Institute of Biophysics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fudan University and Sichuan University attended the meeting and discussed the research progress of regulatory science of the two new materials. In addition, the institute also held a forum for cooperation with Sichuan Provincial Drug Administration. The two sides reached consensus on improving the scientific research level and technical support in biomaterials, medical devices and regulatory science in Sichuan Province, and indicated that they will jointly build Research Base of Regulatory Science for Medical Device, NMPA.

3. Sichuan University participated in Chengdu Medical Equipment Innovation Industry Alliance

In order to help the sustainable and high-quality development of medical device regulation in Sichuan Province and the whole country, Institute of Regulatory Science for Medical Device of Sichuan University and Biotechnology Industry Development Bureau of Chengdu High-tech Zone plan to establish the Chengdu Medical Equipment Industry Innovation Alliance. The Alliance will play the role of "industry standards, information exchange, business training, scientific research, technical support, self-regulation and rights protection, relief and rescue, international cooperation," and is committed to providing high-quality medical devices to meet people's needs for a healthy life.

4. Sichuan University was approved as the APEC Center of Excellence in Medical Device Primary Work Area

On June 15, Sichuan University was approved as China's first APEC Center of Excellence in Medical Device Primary Work Area. The center will build a platform for academic exchanges, business training and regulatory collaboration for regulators from APEC member economies, based on the roadmap for regulatory science development in the field of medical devices identified by APEC member economies.
