2022 APEC Center of Excellence for Implant Medical Devices

Training Announcement

In order to promote the harmonization of the review and supervision of Implant medical devices in APEC economies, the 2022 APEC CoE workshop on The Review and Supervision of Implant Medical Devices will be held online and offline from Dec. 12th to 15th, 2022. The workshop will be hosted by APEC Center of Excellence for Medical Devices Regulatory Science at Sichuan University, with the endorsement of National Medical Products of Administration (NMPA), Chinese Society for Biomaterials (CSBM) and West China Hospital. The training materials are within the scope of Core Curriculum of Medical Device PWA, and will cover implant medical device definition, classification, conformity assessment, clinic trail, regulations of label, and post-market surveillance.

Eligible trainees are regulators involving regulatory practices of medical devices from APEC economies. Training includes material study, group discussion, mock registration and submission of an essay. The graduates of this training will be awarded certificates of completion.
